Nov 18 – Selinger/Mazunik Duo CD Release with Jason Kao Hwang

Gil Selinger and Evan Mazunik invite you to join them in celebrating the release of their duo CD “White Barn Duets,” recorded by the late Paul Bakker in his laid back studio in New Canaan, CT. The second half of the evening adds veteran improvising violinist Jason Kao Hwang to explore a piano trio format. CDs will be available at a greatly reduced price. Come celebrate the historic premiere concert of the new Interzone Series!

Feb 15 – Olivia De Prato, Jay Rozen, Evan Mazunik, Gil Selinger

And possible other guests to join in this concert subtitled solo e due, this concert will focus on solo and duo pieces, mixing different instrumentation between our Violin, Tuba, Piano, Cello and possible other surprise guest(s) to be joining us. This performance wil guarantee an evening of musical adventures.

Apr 6 – Walter Thompson and the Soundpainting String Quartet

Walter Thompson, inventor of the soundpainting language presents this concert with his Soundpainting String Quartet (David Grunberg, Olivia de Prato, Lev Zhurbin, Gil Selinger). This show will sure to be a fantastic evening of music, and very likely will sell out quickly due to the size of the hall and the large crowds Mr. Thompson often draws.

May 17 – Duende Trio

Evan Mazunik (piano), Jeffrey Agrell (horn) and Cellist Gil Selinger (cello)

The Duende Trio explores new musical territory by taking early music and transforming it with improvisation and modern sensibilities to experience the old anew. This program will weave original compositions with source materials from from all over the world, including Jazz, Latin American music, African music, Medieval chants and Sephardic folk songs.
